Alex Lamb / Writing

I write mostly speculative fiction, though one recent reviewer referred to one of my short stories as 'contemporary horror', so apparently I write that too. You can find some of my recent fiction with both Wheatland Press and Small Beer Press.I'm also a member of the LiveJournal communtity and occasionally blog about writing, and other random, related topics.

Here's a breakdown of my major novel projects to date:

The Cloven Sun    A rip-roaring combination of spy novel, steampunk adventure, and biotech thriller, with a little P. G Wodehouse thrown in. Currently under consideration at Tor books.

Roboteer    A fast-paced, gritty, space-opera that mixes themes of AI, religion, and contemporary ecological politics into a fable that asks the question of what makes the difference between a species that learns to thrive, and one that snuffs itself out.

Age of Demons    A far-future blend of fantasy and hard science fiction that charts the progress of Nathan Edgartan, the last demon hunter, on a quest that takes him across the violently transformed worlds of Venus, Earth, and Mars, and which will shape the future of humanity forever.
